Privacy & data use
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Ureka Stream Studio and the Ureka Stream Studio Connector Chrome extension collect, use, store, and share information.
Effective August 15, 2026
Plain-language summary: Ureka uses only the information needed to connect your Whatnot seller dashboard to your Studio displays, keep your live break synchronized, and help diagnose failures. We do not sell user data, use it for advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to Ureka Stream Studio, the Ureka Stream Studio Connector Chrome extension (the “Connector”), and related support and diagnostic services operated by Ureka Stream Studio (“Ureka,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Ureka is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Whatnot.
2. Information we handle
Account and authentication information
When you create or use a Ureka account, we may handle your email address, internal user or account identifier, subscription status, and a Connector authentication token. Ureka does not collect your Whatnot password. Payment-card details are handled by our payment provider and are not stored by the Connector.
Seller and live-break information
To provide live synchronization, the Connector reads the supported Whatnot seller-dashboard pages you open. Depending on the type of break, this may include:
- your Whatnot seller username and the current live-dashboard URL;
- break names, team names, player or chase-list item names, spot counts, availability, assignment, and sale-state information;
- the current Studio board, Stream Moment, display-sync identifiers, and connection state; and
- timestamps and technical state needed to keep the Connector, Studio, and OBS display synchronized.
This information is processed only on the Whatnot seller-dashboard and Ureka Studio pages covered by the Connector’s declared permissions. The Connector does not collect your general browsing history.
Local settings
The Connector stores settings and operational state in Chrome storage, such as the selected board, panel position and minimized state, connection information, sync safeguards, and recent diagnostic events.
Support diagnostics
When you use “Report a problem,” or when the Connector records a high-confidence failure for support, Ureka may receive a sanitized report containing the Connector version, seller identifier, page type or URL, break counts, parser and sync status, recent technical events, and an optional description you enter. These reports are designed to exclude passwords, payment information, authentication tokens, browser history, and raw Whatnot page HTML.
3. How we use information
We use information only to:
- authenticate your Ureka account and Connector;
- read the active Whatnot break and synchronize Team Boards, Chase Lists, availability, assignments, and counts;
- control the user-selected Ureka display and Stream Moments;
- maintain connection reliability, prevent stale or unsafe updates, and recover from reconnects;
- provide customer support, investigate reported failures, and improve reliability and security; and
- operate subscriptions, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not use Connector data for advertising, unrelated profiling, lending, or determining creditworthiness.
4. When information is shared
We do not sell personal or sensitive user data. We disclose information only as needed to operate Ureka, at your direction, or when legally required. Service providers may include:
- Supabase for authentication, database, synchronization, and support-diagnostic infrastructure;
- Netlify for hosting and delivering Ureka Stream Studio;
- Resend for delivering support-report notifications;
- Stripe for subscription and payment processing; and
- Google Chrome Web Store for distribution of the Connector.
These providers may process information only to supply their services to Ureka, subject to their applicable terms and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users, or to investigate fraud, abuse, or security threats.
5. Chrome Web Store Limited Use
The use of information received from Chrome APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Ureka limits the use and transfer of Connector data to providing and improving the Connector’s single disclosed purpose and related security, reliability, support, and legal-compliance needs. Human access is limited to cases where it is necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or user-authorized support.
6. Retention and deletion
Local Connector settings remain in Chrome storage until you remove them, clear the extension’s data, or uninstall the Connector. Account, synchronization, subscription, and support records are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, investigate reliability or security issues, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes.
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your Ureka account data by emailing adelacruz@urekastreamstudio.com. We may retain limited information when required by law or necessary to protect the service and its users.
7. Security
Ureka uses HTTPS for data transmitted between the Connector, Ureka Stream Studio, and our service providers. We use access controls and other reasonable safeguards designed to protect stored information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to limit the information collected and restrict access to operational needs.
8. Your choices
- You may disable or uninstall the Connector at any time through Chrome.
- You may avoid sending an optional support report and copy the sanitized report for review instead.
- You may disconnect your Ureka account, clear locally stored extension data, or request account-data deletion.
9. Children’s privacy
Ureka Stream Studio is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Ureka’s features, providers, or legal obligations change. We will post the updated policy at this address and revise the effective date above. Material changes to Connector data practices will also be disclosed as required by applicable Chrome Web Store policy.
